Dr. Brenda Ponce

Dr. Brenda V. Ponce is a native of Argentina. She has been practicing veterinary medicine in the United States since 1987. She practiced at the Humane Society of Utah for seven years, followed by private practice, before opening her own clinic.

At the Humane Society she learned how necessary it is to help people to become responsible for their animals. Dr. Ponce says "Too many healthy animals are euthanized every day." Because of this experience she is a vocal advocate for the planned spay and neuter of pets.

In 2001 Dr. Ponce opened the Avenues Pet Clinic. She likes to get to know her patients and follow them throughout their lives. "We like to see our patients grow and get to know their personalities. We also enjoy interacting with their families" says Dr. Ponce.

She has two cats: Dulce and Hazel and our clinic dog Lou, who was a rescue dog from the shelter and comes to work with her every day.
